Remarks – Versatile Portuguese talent Bruno Coelho took the Slovakian manufacturer back to victory in the 2wd class at the wheel of the 2019 version of their XB2 buggy. Equipped with Hiro Seiko screws, his car is also fitted with aluminium steering rack and rear hubs. Bruno was also running some Xray options coming to the market in the next days, such as aluminium shock towers, titanium turnbuckles and a carbon battery strap. To improve the flex he cut the reinforcements in the rear brace.

Chassis Focus – Lee Martin

Remarks – Former EOS champion Lee Martin is running a revised version of the YZ-2-CAL2 that is equipped with a number of pre-production parts. The new chassis is stronger – and therefore reduces flex – in the rear section, while the Truck battery mount system is used to confer more flex to the central part of the buggy. The rear gearbox is also new and features a quick access to the differential that can be now adjusted in height so as to vary the roll centre. The shock towers are lower, and the rear shocks shorter. Lee was also using the front bulkhead from the Yokomo Truck which makes the front part of the chassis stronger.

Remarks – Making a welcome return to EOS here in Warsaw, Swedish talent Jessica Palsson is proving strong at the controls of her Kyosho RB7. Hers is a pretty standard example of the Japanese made car, the only options used being carbon shock towers, a few titanium screws and a lightweight body.

Remarks – Finnish rising star Joona Haatanen is attending the support Mod Truck Class here at the Arena33 in Andernach behind the wheel of Team Associated’s latest Truck release T6.1. Sharing most of the platform with the B6.1 buggy, Joona’s example is equipped with a front brass bulkhead and a steel weight plate under his electrics.

Remarks – Team Yokomo lead driver Lee Martin is here at the Arena33 running a pretty standard version of the Japanese YZ-4SF. Sporting a setup obviously adapted for a surface Lee is used to but different to the usual EOS carpet, his car is only equipped with Titanium Screws and turnbuckles and an aluminium servo mount.
