Chassis Focus – Neil Cragg

Remarks – Reigning European Champion Neil Cragg is attending the second round of EOS here in Warsaw racing the American designed B6. His car is equipped with a few option parts, such as aluminium steering bellcrank and rear arm mount, titanium top screws (the chassis screws remaining the standard ones issued in the kit) and a front wing. He is also using a combination of steel weight plates under the servo and the ESC, while under the lipo is featured a Reedy brass weight plate.

Chassis Focus – Michal Orlowski

Remarks – Young Polish star Michal Orlowski is running an interesting version of the Schumacher Cat K2. His car is equipped with a thinner, 2mm aluminium chassis and a 2.5mm top deck. Together with his engineer Tristram Neal they modified the motor mount to separate it from the servo. Michael is also using pre-production shorter steering arms to reduce the ackermann angle therefore increasing the outside wheel lock. To reduce the rotating masses, he has also removed two of the four slipper pads compensating with an additional spacer on the spring.

Chassis Focus – Lee Martin

Remarks – British Team Yokomo driver Lee Martin took the opening round of 4WD qualifying here at the Nurburgring, running a YZ4 from the Japanese company equipped with prototype Yatabe shock springs, aluminium 18° C-Hubs and an aluminium rear suspension mount. He is also using titanium screws and turnbuckles.

Remarks – Similar to his team mate Lee Martin, German star Marc Rheinard is running a CA version YZ-2 equipped with the new prototype Yatabe springs, pre-production front wing and mount and a .8mm front anti roll bar. He is also using titanium screws and aluminium C-Hubs in the front end.

Remarks – Reigning EOS and World Champion, Bruno Coelho us running the 2016 version of the XB4 here in Germany. His car features a graphite stiffener applied on the rear chassis brace, and is also equipped with graphite arms and aluminium uprights as well as an aluminium ackermann plate. The Portuguese driver is also using steel differential gears and front ECS driveshafts.
